The leather rod tubes are made from a sturdy aluminium tube instead of ABS
(plastic) most tube makers use. The aluminium is a little more expensive but
I just feel more comfortable with it.
The tubes are, just like my bamboo fly rods, completely handmade. I turn the brass caps
on my lathe, cut the leather and Joyce does the stitching. The leather inlaid
brass bottom and top caps make the tube look very exclusive.
